Your data, handled with care.
What we collect when you contact us, why we collect it, and how we protect your business data when we build AI systems for you.
Who we are
OceanEdgeAI (“we”, “us”) designs, builds and runs AI agents and automations for businesses. We are the controller of the personal information you share with us through this website. You can reach us about anything in this policy through our contact page.
What we collect
We only collect what you choose to send us through the forms on this site:
- Your name, work email address and company name
- Your industry, and what you tell us about your business and what you'd like to improve
- Optional details such as a budget range or an additional message
We don't use advertising or analytics cookies, and we don't track you across other websites. The only cookie this site sets is a strictly necessary sign-in cookie for our own staff dashboard.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and arrange a discovery call
- To prepare relevant ideas and estimates for your business
- To keep a record of our conversations if we go on to work together
We rely on our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries you've sent us. We will never sell your information or add you to a marketing list without your permission.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of trusted service providers to run this website, each bound by data-processing terms:
- Supabase — secure database hosting for enquiries
- Resend — delivers the email notifying our team of a new enquiry
- Our hosting provider — serves this website
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK; where they do, appropriate safeguards are in place.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, unless we start working together, in which case we keep records for as long as our contract and legal obligations require.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, or object to how we use it, at any time. Just get in touch. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Security in the systems we build
When we build AI systems for clients, we treat your business data as if it were our own:
- We work inside your existing systems wherever possible, rather than copying data out of them
- We use enterprise AI providers whose terms prohibit training on your data
- Access is least-privilege, time-limited and reviewed at the end of every engagement
- Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and agent actions are logged for audit
- People stay in the loop for sensitive decisions, with clear hand-off rules
- We're happy to sign an NDA and a data processing agreement before any work starts
